Standard Plus Room
Classic Awaroa Lodge rooms nestled among the trees; our Standard Plus are slightly larger than the Standard room Perfect for a 2 night stay or for 3 people travelling together. Secluded in the native New Zealand bush, with plenty of fauna around, these rooms have an outdoor deck with several having both front and back deck. Standard Plus Rooms have a queen bed and a single bed and can accommodate up to 3 people.
Superior Suite
For the comfort & relaxation, these contemporary suites are built with the views and surroundings in mind.
Superior Suites
Our Superior Suites are as close to nature as you can get and still have all the comforts of home - a private outdoor deck overlooking the native bush or wetland area, with a king-size bed or twin singles. Superior Suites accommodate up to two people.
Arriving at the Lodge is part of the experience of your stay with us and you may choose to arrive on foot or via a scenic water taxi cruise. You will not find some of the usual things that you might expect in a 4 star hotel such as televisions, spa pools and cellphone reception! We generate our own power and use a satellite for our WiFi connection - we do however have great food, welcoming staff, comfortable beds, an abundance of bird life and sensational night skies!

Arriving at the Lodge is part of the experience of your stay with us and you may choose to arrive on foot or via a scenic water taxi cruise. Surrounded by pristine waterways and native forest, the Lodge has been constructed to make the most of its secluded location which is not accessible by road. Choose from our charming accommodation options; Standard or Family rooms or contemporary architecturally designed Superior Suites built over the wetlands.
The main lodge is warm, inviting and full of character with a comfy lounge, library, bar, restaurant and outdoor pizzeria which is open to day visitors, many of whom are walking the coastal track. Enjoy a range of activities like a guided walk or kayak with one of our partner operators,relax on the famous Awaroa beach or take a walk through our grounds and surrounds.

Harakeke Restaurant
Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the option to dine in the main restaurant or in the conservatory and adjoining the bar and lounge.
HARAKEKE RESTAURANT
Harakeke Restaurant has its own organic garden; plentiful herbs and seasonal vegetables are used within the regionally influenced menus. Dine inside or out; the glass-walled Conservatory has views out over the wetlands. The lounge with its comfortable lounge style seating areas, log fireplace and library also has an open outdoor courtyard; the perfect sunny spot to relax with a coffee and listen to the native birdsong.
Open daily for Breakfast from 7am, Lunch from 11.30am-3pm & Dinner 5.30pm-late. Bar snacks and drinks are available between 3pm-5.30pm.

Quirky and spacious, these rooms sleep 6, the mezzanine level offers additional beds and space to get away.

Our Family Rooms are built from natural materials in an open-plan design with a mezzanine level. There is a dining table and large bathroom, queen beds and singles in various configurations, suitable for a family of up to six people.

For guests arriving by boat, please leave your bags with the porter and enjoy a leisurely 15 minute stroll to the lodge.
